Arrival in Kenya!

It's the small things that count...

Paid a ridiculously cheap price for my ticket to Kenya, but got premium economy and the emergency exit!

Sat next to a lady who works for Samaritans Purses, and boy did she like to talk - we got along just fine ;)

Brussels airlines is great (because I'm talking about all the good things I won't mention the uncomfy seats) but there was great food and the friendliest chattiest staff! It makes such a difference to long distance travel!!

After the fire in the arrivals hall in Nairobi about a month ago they moved the arrivals hall into the car park - it works perfectly!

My luggage arrived... Sleeping bag attached.

I'm AFRICAN so I don't have to pay $50's for a visa!

Sammy, my taxi driver was waiting as I walked out - with a sign saying William Lara. He was all swish in a suit and smiling... Immediately felt safe!

Sammy (my new BFF) talked the whole way to the hotel about all things African, and shared his sweets with me... The easiest way to my heart is by using food ;)

Getting to the heron hotel and having the cutest man smiling behind the counter saying 'welcome to Kenya, please make this your home!' His name was scissors... For real. You can't make this stuff up!

Getting an upgrade to double room, for free!

Having a shower with no limescale.

There is a pool in our sunny courtyard... That will be used!

And heading to breakie to see my tave ;) I'm excited to congratulate him for reaching the peak of mount Kili, makes me so happy! Excited to hear all the stories!

Looking forward to finding so many more happy 'small things' in my life these few months!

Heart Africa!
